In the near future we will be
adding 2 more DNS servers to our array. At the same time
we will be updating our IP addresses on our servers to a new
block to accommodate more servers and services. Currently
there may be some "slowness" of website displaying and editing
because of this, but there should be no down time.
If you have any questions or problems, please contact us at

Spam filter SpamAssassin is
currently running on the mail servers.
One way to implement it is to set up a message rule in Outlook
and Outlook express to search Message Headers for "X-Spam-Flag:
YES". If it is found odds are the message is spam.
But you can do with it what you wish. There may
be specific "plug-in" modules for various EMail programs for
this spam filter. At this moment we have not thoroughly
searched for such applications since we are using the 'Message
Rule' method outlined above.

Currently the EMail size limit, that was implemented because of
the 'sobig' worm, has been removed and we are closely monitoring
all EMail.
There is a filter in place that drops any message with an
executable attachment (.exe, .pif, .bat, .com, etc). This was
necessary due to the extreme volume of mail being sent through
the servers. This small filter is placing a significant load on
the machines, and we are working on making the process more
efficient and less intensive. While we are doing this, the mail
process may be restarted, but no mail will be lost.
If necessary, the EMail size limit may be placed back into
effect.
Within a week we will be upgrading the EMail machines. If the
upgraded machines are able to handle the load of the current
filters that are in place, we will hopefully be implementing
Anti-Virus scanning and spam-tagging software in the near
future.

Since last tuesday we have been combating
the new variation of the 'sobig' worm. Because of this we
have had to limit the size of file attachments to 97k because
most of the worm attachments are in the 98-100k range. As
soon as this is taken care of we will lift the size restriction
on attachments. Until then if you need to pass files you
might try uploading them to a directory and passing the URL to
your intended recipient.
If you need help doing this please contact us at either
support@glws.com or
269-998-9612 and w will help you with using this method of
transferring attachments.
