Mass unsolicited email (i.e. spam) to users of our system or other systems is ABSOLUTELY
PROHIBITED. This causes a severe burden on network resources, and causes a large
amount of complaints to be sent to our system administrators. This practice, known as
spamming, will not be tolerated and your account WILL be terminated without notice if this
rule is broken. Users who send mass unsolicited email through our system will incur a
charge of $1000, plus a charge of $25 for each spam message sent through our system, $10
for each complaint received by the Great Lakes Web Solutions staff as a result of the spam, and $25 for each
message bounced back to Great Lakes Web Solutions as a result of the spam. Mailbombers will also be billed at
the same rate.

Please keep only one login session active at a time (unless otherwise authorized). Some
users try to log into their account multiple times, which ties up dialup lines that could
be used by other customers. If an account is found to be logged in multiple times,
Great Lakes Web Solutions reserves the right to disconnect all login sessions from the account, or charge an
additional fee equal to the number of extra accounts that are logged in.
|
 |
You may stay logged in for an acceptable period of time per session, but ONLY if you're
actively using the system. If you're not actively using your connection, please disconnect
so that other users may utilize the system. To ensure this rule is followed,
Great Lakes Web Solutions enforces
eight hour session disconnects (you may log back in immediately, but be warned that abuse
of this may be subject to having your account terminated immediately without notice).
|
 |
Great Lakes Web Solutions
reserves the right to terminate any connection that is suspected to be
non-interactive (i.e. idle). Great Lakes Web Solutions currently uses inactivity timers to detect dialup
connections that are inactive. "Inactivity" is currently defined as 30
consecutive minutes where no network traffic is being generated. Great Lakes Web Solutions
reserves the right
to change this definition of "inactivity".
|
 |
Great Lakes Web Solutions
reserves the right to modify or discontinue certain services or features on our
system. We will attempt to inform all users of such changes 30 days or more in advance,
but do not provide this as a guarantee of such notification.
